Beginners' classes


Caring Yoga beginners' classes is for anyone that would like to be introduced to Hatha Yoga or to start learning the yoga principles and basic techniques in a very gentle way.
What To Expect
Before arriving
When booking your first yoga class, you might feel slightly anxious about what you will find! It's normal, new environments can make us uncomfortable and be challenging!! However, you can rest assured that Caring Yoga is a safe and relaxing place that will always welcome you!
Silence
You will notice that the silence is kept throughout the session, in the end we can have a nice chat and bring our weekly news into the room. Please, switch off your mobile phone.
Breathing and warm up
After a period of relaxation and setting the energy of our practice, we will start our class with the sound of three OMs. We will then proceed to some gentle breathing exercises and warm up movement.
Schedule
Classes are on Wednesday at 18h30.
One class a week is required to promote consistency and progression.
The classes will be in person at Palpung Maitri house, Brynmawr.
Caring Yoga is always available for any questions to encourage your self-development and practice.
On arrival
Please, take your shoes off. You will find several yoga mats on the floor and a sitting cushion. You can stretch your own mat above the one settled on the floor or you can use the one provided. The cushion is for sitting down and you will not need it to rest your head.
On the mat
You can lie down on your back in the mat now, wherever you like and feel comfortable.
Relax here, this will be your time to take care of yourself.
Asanas
Moderate yoga postures called Asanas are next in our practice. We will synchronise them with breathing and hold the posture for some minutes. In the end, we will finish with guided relaxation that can set the mood for you to go back to your life with renovated energy.
Next Classes
The continuous beginners' classes happen on Wednesdays at 18h30in small classes. Limited to places available.
