Caring Yoga Gentle Class


Caring Yoga gentle classes focuses above all on relaxation and allowing ourselves to be present in the moment.
The class is designed to people that want to do some gentle movements and a wonderful final relaxation that might challenge your consciousness and allow you to go into a deeper relaxation
What To Expect
Before arriving
When booking your first yoga class, you might feel slightly anxious about what you will find! It's normal, new environments can make us uncomfortable and be challenging!! However, you can rest assured that Caring Yoga is a safe and relaxing place that will always welcome you!
Silence
You will notice that the silence is kept throughout the session, in the end we can have a nice chat and bring our weekly news into the room. Please, switch off your mobile phone.
Pranayama - Breathing
After a period of relaxation and setting the energy of our practice, we will start our class with the sound of three OMs. Here, we will do some breathing techniques that aim to bring more energy into the mind and body. It also facilitates to settle into the moment and in a safe internal space.
Yoga Nidra
We will finish with the practice of Yoga Nidra. Lying down, comfortable and warm, we go through a process of relaxation between the state of asleep and awake. Granting the body and mind the chance to be present in the moment
On arrival
Please, take your shoes off. You will find several yoga mats on the floor and a sitting cushion. You can stretch your own mat above the one settled on the floor or you can use the one provided. The cushion is for sitting down and you will not need it to rest your head.
On the mat and settling
You can lie down on your back in the mat now, wherever you like and feel comfortable.
Settle into the practice, feeling within a safe space; setting the intentions; becoming aware of your emotions
Asanas
Gentle movement following a Sivananda class, with asanas that integrate all parts of the body, through posture and counter posture linked with the breath.
Schedule
We are together every Wednesday at 18h30. The class is 90minutes, to allow you to benefit from consistency and progression.
The classes will be in person at Palpung Maitri house, Brynmawr.
